The Story behind www.skinessensewellness.com

       Working as a young esthetician in a medical spa, I specialized in active, very aggressive chemical peels, lasers, microdermabrasion, and other results-oriented skincare treatments. These treatments were highly effective in many ways, but my clients’ skin would be burning and red by the end of the treatment. I had nothing available to help calm and soothe post-treatment, so, I created my blend of soothing and healing essential oils and Skinessence was born.

At first, I dabbled with concoctions in my kitchen. After many test blends, research, and aromatherapy classes, I came up with a beautiful blend of anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, healing, and soothing essential oils that within seconds calmed down my clients’ red, raw, irritated skin at the end of their treatment. My clients began to ask if they could purchase this “liquid gold” as they fondly referred to my special blend of oils…and this is how it all began.

     At Skinessence, less is more. We are all about clean! Skinessence has no more than 6 hand-picked, plant-based ingredients that provide potent healing, antioxidants, and nutrition. We make our products with three things in mind: ingredients, safety, and efficacy. We are passionate about using the very best, therapeutic-grade essential oils! We believe in providing the best skin care products possible. Our products are proudly free of parabens, propylene glycol, sodium laurel sulfates, harmful colorants or fragrances, mineral oils, petroleum, and other harsh cosmetic chemicals.

      Today, Skinessence partners with Looking and Feeling FAB, Inc, a nonprofit organization that specializes in the treatment of skin issues from cancer treatment. Skinessence Oils have become a major part in healing and preventing side effects from cancer treatment, eliminating delays and improving the overall quality of life. The efficacy of Skinessence is noted in a published peer-reviewed scientific study, when used to pre-treat skin before radiation.  Continued use throughout the radiation cycle, Skinessence oils were a key component in minimizing and preventing radiation dermatitis (burns).
